Similarly, to Whittles, PNE (Preston North End) have a long-established heritage in Preston, each spanning over 155 years. Incredibly only 1 year separates their origins, PNE can be traced back to 1863 starting off as a cricket club near the Ribble Estuary at Ashton, it would be another 15 years before they played their first game of football though. Only one year earlier in 1862 Whittles Jewellers was established in Miller Arcade on Fishergate Hill and has since been synonymous with fine jewellery, style and exceptional service ever since.
The 2017/18 season has started well for the Lilywhites, sitting just outside the play off places after 13 matches, the future looks bright for this young squad!
It seems only fitting that these two long standing Lancashire institutions should partner up and hopefully build a long standing relationship as PNE race towards championship success.
Fingers crossed that this premier Jewellers will have a partnership with a football club deserving of premiership status!
